Dagmar warmed up slowly to yoga. Initially considering it as an exciting new way to keep fit, her yoga infatuation grew over the years into a thoughtful pursuit. In the course of her teacher training, Dagmar came to appreciate the concepts that govern the various yoga traditions and the wonderful teachers who spread its teachings and kept the practice alive.
Dagmar is drawn to group yoga because she loves the collective breath and energy that unfolds in class. Moreover, regular practice strengthens all aspects of our existence: physically, it restores and heals the body, and mentally, it promotes mindful living and receptiveness to others. Beyond her 200 Hour yoga teacher certification, Dagmar is a registered Radiant Child yoga instructor. Off the mat, Dagmar has been a grant officer, a media analyst, a writer and journalist, and radio producer.
In her vinyasa classes, she favors a slow, meditative beginning, followed by a variety of asana sequences in an easy, repetitive flow. Dagmar offers an athletically and therapeutically challenging class: Relax, sweat and have fun using the body as a vehicle to calm the mind.
